Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026 · This notice is issued under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. What we collect and why

With your consent at registration we collect: identity & profile details (name, date of birth, gender, community, education, career, family details, photographs), horoscope details, location details (residence, work, native place; optionally PIN code and device location), contact details (phone, email, social links) and verification documents (government ID, community certificate). Purpose: matchmaking, profile verification, safety/fraud prevention, and providing the services you request — nothing else.

2. What other members can see

Your phone numbers, emails, social links, documents, exact birth details (date, time, place), house/street address, PIN code and precise location are never shown publicly. Other members see only your matrimonial profile (name, age, community, education, photos, approximate area). Exact birth details are visible only to paid members; contact details are shared only after mutual connection under premium plans. You can verify exactly what others see using "Preview public view" on your profile.

3. Storage, security & retention

Data is stored on secured servers with access restricted to authorised verification staff. As mandated by the MeitY advisory for matrimonial websites, the IP address used at account creation is retained for at least one year, including after account deletion, to assist lawful investigations. Other personal data is retained while your account is active and for the period required by law after closure.

4. Your rights

You may access and correct your data from My Profile, request a copy of your data, withdraw consent, or request account closure by writing to the Grievance Officer. Locked identity fields (name/DOB/birth details) are correctable once through the verified correction process. We respond within the timelines on the Grievance page.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with: service providers strictly needed to run the platform (payment processing via Razorpay, messaging), and lawful authorities on valid legal request under the IT Act, 2000 / DPDP Act, 2023.
